Abstract

The research aims to prepare educational units for the transfer of the learning effect to learn the skills of the smash serve and the smash hit, to identify the transfer of the learning effect in acquiring and retaining the skills of the smash serve and the smash hit in volleyball. The researcher used the experimental method to suit the nature of the research, and the research community was selected intentionally from the second-stage female students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Diyala for the academic year 2023/2024 into two sections, totaling (56). As for the research sample, it was selected randomly by lottery, as Section (A) represented the experimental group and Section (B) represented the control group. After deleting the failed, postponed and practicing students, the final number of the research sample became (20) female students for each group, and the research sample constituted a percentage of (71.42%). In light of the discussion of the results, the researcher concluded that positive learning appeared in the skills of the smash serve and the smash hit in volleyball, and the emergence of different rates of development between the two educational groups, as the experimental group outperformed the control group in acquisition and retention in technical performance and accuracy for the skills of the smash serve and the smash hit in volleyball. In light of the conclusions, the researcher recommends benefiting from the processes of transferring the effect of learning in acquisition and retention for the purpose of investing time and effort in the educational process from one location to another or from one skill to another, and emphasizing the use of diversification in exercises and increasing repetitions and organizing them for the purpose of developing the educational process for the skills of the smash serve and the smash hit in volleyball.
