Building and codifying a cognitive test for defensive and offensive skills in handball for students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, third stage

Abstract

Measuring knowledge is one of the objective evaluation methods that should be used alongside tests that measure the physical and skill aspects. Therefore, college students must pay attention to the cognitive aspect because it has a major role in mastering the game of handball. The problem of the research lies in the reluctance of most researchers (primary-master’s). -PhD) in conducting research on third stage students, and the research aims to build a cognitive test for defensive and offensive skills in handball for third st The researcher used the descriptive approach in both survey methods to suit the research problem. The current research population was represented by students from the College of Education, Physical and Sports Sciences, third stage, University of Diyala, for the academic year 2023-2024, who numbered (175) students, and the research sample reached (150) students, and a cognitive test for skills was constructed. Defensive and offensive handball using scientific steps,age students, Then the researcher calculated the standards and levels, and the researcher arrived at a cognitive structure for the defensive and offensive skills of students in the faculties of physical education and sports sciences in handball, which included (20) questions.
