The importance of abilities related to skill performance, especially shooting, for handball players was discussed in the introduction to the research, and these abilities include (explosive power, power characterized by speed, and speed of motor response).
It is one of the important physical abilities of handball players because it helps the player to continue performing, maintaining his strength, resisting fatigue, and aiming accurately throughout the match. Hence the importance of research. The problem of the research is that there is a decrease in the accuracy of shooting among handball players during the match period, and the researcher attributes this decrease to weakness (special abilities). From here comes the research problem that the researcher wanted to address and find appropriate solutions for. The most important goals are to prepare exercises for special abilities and know their effect on shooting from the back line among junior players. The hypothesis of the research was that there are significant differences between the pre- and post-tests in shooting from the back line among the research sample. The research sample was the players of Rusafa Secondary Education in Baghdad for the junior category.
The researcher used the experimental method for one group with two pre- and post-tests. Appropriate statistical methods were used to extract the results. The results were presented, analyzed and discussed.
The most important conclusions were that the special abilities exercise that were prepared contributed to the development of shooting from the back line among emerging players. The most important recommendations are to adopt special abilities exercises to develop the performance of other skills in handball.
