Cooperative learning strategy and its impact on learning to pass from above and receive the serve in volleyball for ages 9-12 years in Baghdad

The importance of the study is justified in how to employ modern educational strategies that take into account the age group and maturity of this group and employ it in teaching some skills for games and other things, especially the early age stages. Therefore, the study aimed to prepare educational units in the style of a cooperative learning strategy for ages 9-12 years in Baghdad, in addition to identifying The effect of educational units using the cooperative learning strategy for ages 9-12 years in Baghdad on some volleyball skills. While the study assumed that there are statistically significant differences in the researchers’ analysis of the pre- and post-tests of some volleyball skills for the research sample, While the researchers followed the experimental method by designing one group with a pre-test and a post-test, while the research was applied to a sample of female students in Baghdad, ages 9-12, numbering 16 beneficiary students. The skills of receiving from the bottom and passing from the top were chosen because they are easy skills and are compatible with sample. The researchers prepared exercises aimed at learning the two skills under study. They were applied over the course of 8 educational units. Each educational unit included 3 skills. After completing the application of the educational units and pre- and post-tests, the researchers came out with several conclusions, the most important of which is that cooperative learning improves The skills under study among the study sample, while the cooperative learning strategy worked to increase the element of suspense during the learning process, as well as equal competition among the sample members when applying the exercises. The study recommended the need to include the cooperative method in teaching sports skills in schools and for different age groups, and the need to pay attention to the groups. Young age as it constitutes the basis for the process of correct construction of the individual.
