Reasons for the reluctance of university students to participate in the practice of individual games

Abstract

The research aims to show the reasons for the problem of the reluctance of students of the Institute for the preparation of technical trainers to play individual games, as well as the need to

 work to find solutions that seek to involve students in the practice of various games, so the researchers collected a sample of students of the Institute for the Preparation of Technical Trainers at the middle Technical University, numbering (100) male students only from the first and second stages, and this study was implemented in the academic year 2023-2024, and the results came that the most important reasons are insufficient knowledge of the rules of various individual games. Also, the psychological aspect and lack of self-confidence has a direct impact on not engaging in the practice of individual games, and the researchers recommend the necessity to pay attention to this aspect by establishing workshops and courses by explaining the rules of various games and providing the necessary requirements
